Purpose: Import dynamic block information from Excel

Note: Reinject into the DWG the data (including dynamic ones) modified in Excel
Processing mode: Works on the active DWG (one file at a time).

This tool handles the Excel → DWG process for dynamic blocks. After exporting to Excel, you modify the values (attributes or dynamic parameters), then this plugin rereads that Excel file and applies the changes directly to the drawing, block by block.
It updates the DWG and then saves it.

  1. Select the blocks to update

Start by selecting the blocks in the DWG for which you want to reimport the data.
This allows you to target only specific instances.

Selecting the dynamic blocks to update in the DWG
You select the blocks to synchronize with Excel.
  2. Read the Excel file

The software automatically loads the Excel file located next to the DWG. It reads the updated information from this table
(modified attributes, adjusted dynamic parameters, etc.).

Automatic loading of the Excel file and reading of updated values
The plugin rereads the previously exported Excel, modified by you.
  3. Apply the changes in the DWG

The new values are applied to the DWG:

    • block attributes,

    • dynamic information (visibility, states, etc.),

    • other exported and modified fields from Excel.
    The drawing is then saved.

Injecting Excel values (attributes and dynamic parameters) into the DWG
The selected blocks are updated automatically and then saved.
