Goal: Speed up the DWG by removing elements located on turned-off layers
This tool reduces the size and heaviness of the DWG by removing what is not needed
(hidden elements, frozen layers, unused definitions). It purges, cleans and may flatten the model.
⚠ Warning: this operation is destructive. It removes non-visible elements, explodes some objects,
and removes 3D to flatten the drawing into 2D.
After generating the reduced DWG, you MUST compare the result with the original DWG.
Important Warning
This process:
• removes non-visible elements,
• explodes certain objects,
• deletes 3D to flatten the drawing into 2D.
At the end, you must carefully review the generated file and compare it to the original DWG.
Destructive operation: always verify the final result. Opening the DWG
The software opens the DWG to be optimized.
Loading the source drawing. Removing non-visible elements
Entities on layers that are turned off, frozen, or not visible are deleted.
The goal is to remove everything that makes the file heavy but does not appear in the actual drawing.Cleanup of hidden or dormant geometry. Drawing Purge
The drawing is purged: unused styles, blocks, layers, registers, etc.
Result: a lighter DWG, easier to handle, faster to open.Global purge of unused elements.
Saving to a New DWG
The optimized result is saved under a NEW file name.
The original is not overwritten. You therefore keep a safety version.Export of the optimized plan without altering the original. Final Visual Check
The optimized DWG is opened automatically for verification.
You must compare it to the original file:
geometry, important texts, technical symbols, legends, etc.Manual validation required before distributing the drawing.

Global purge of unused elements.
