Purpose: Remove MASK elements in blocks and model space

Note: Remove MASK (wipeout) elements in blocks and in model space
Processing mode: DWGs are processed one by one (not all at once).

This tool removes all masking elements (type Wipeout / MASK) in Model Space and inside blocks.
The goal is to avoid areas that hide geometry in the printed plan or in the PDF. All other entities remain intact.

  1. Open the DWG

The software opens the DWG you want to clean.

Opening the DWG before mask removal
    Loading the source drawing.
  2. Detection of masks in model space

The tool scans Model Space to detect masking entities: opaque regions, wipeouts, etc. that hide content behind them.

Detection of MASK / wipeout elements in model space
Finding masking areas in the model.
  3. Removal of masks in model space

All detected masking elements in Model Space are removed.
Result: no more white/blank regions blocking view or printing.

Removal of masks in model space
Model cleanup: removal of obstructive wipeouts.
  4. Cleanup inside blocks

The software then opens block definitions one by one and also removes masking elements inside those blocks. This is important because some masks are hidden within blocks.

Removal of MASK elements inside blocks
Internal cleanup of blocks to remove embedded masks.
  5. Preservation of other entities

All other entities (geometry, text, hatches, attributes…) remain unchanged.
Only the masking elements are removed.

No impact on useful geometry of the DWG
Only opaque screens are removed, useful content is preserved.
  6. Save the DWG

The DWG is saved once all masks have been removed.
You get a drawing with no white areas hiding your symbols.

Saving the DWG after mask removal
Final file saved, ready for use or printing.
